6 injured when vehicle crashes into office of Speedway apartment complex

SPEEDWAY, IN - Police responded to the scene of an accident on the west side of Speedway, where a car crashed into a building on Thursday night.

WXIN reports the crash happened in the area of West 21st Street and North High School Road at about 6:30 p.m. Police said a car went off the roadway and crashed into the front end of the leasing office of the Stanford Court Apartments.

Two adults and four children ranging in age from 1 to 11 were in the vehicle. All six were hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

The building sustained minor injuries and an inspection determined that it was safe to be occupied. An investigation is continuing into the cause of the accident.
