7 injured after SUV crashes into back of18-wheeler in Clovis

CLOVIS, NM - A crash involving a truck and an SUV in Clovis sent seven people to the hospital on Monday, reports the Eastern New Mexico News.

Authorities said the seven were in an SUV that hit the back of an 18-wheeler on Mabry Drive at about 6:50 p.m.  The SUV driver, a 34-year-old man, along with a 34-year-old woman and five children ranging in age from an infant to a 12-year-old were all taken to Plains Regional Medical Center.  Police said the victims had suffered "extremity injuries such as fractures and breaks." 

The truck driver was not hurt in the crash.
