TORRANCE COUNTY, NM - The New Mexico Department of Transportaton alerted motorists to an accident that was affecting traffic during Wednesday morning's rush hour.
According to an advisory on NMRoads issued at 7:54 a.m., the crash took place on Interstate 40 westbound at mile marker 222, four miles east of Clines Corners. The right lane of I-40 west was shut down in the area.
Emergency services crews responded and were working to clear the crash scene.
