ALBUQUERQUE, NM - An accident on Interstate 40 was disrupting traffic for drivers in the Albuquerque area on Wednesday morning.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation issued an alert on NMRoads at 9:09 a.m. that the crash happened on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 163 at Louisiana Boulevard.
The right lane and right shoulder of the interstate were closed while authorities responded to the accident scene. Drivers were advised to expect traffic delays and use caution when traveling through the area.
