Accident causes delays on Interstate 80 west of South Bend

SOUTH BEND, IN - Indiana State Police responded to the scene of an accident on Interstate 80 on Sunday morning.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation's alert at 11:19 a.m., the crash happened on I-80 west between St. Joseph Valley Parkway and US 20, about 12 miles west of South Bend. State Police said all westbound lanes were blocked in the area of mile marker 59 while emergency crews were dealing with the wreck.

Motorists were advised to expect delays through the area.
