INDIANAPOLIS, IN - An accident on the southeast side of Indianapolis sent a pedestrian to the hospital Friday morning, reports WISH.
The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on English Avenue near Southeastern Avenue and South Rural Street, where police responded to the scene at about 6:30 a.m.
The pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition. The driver involved stayed at the scene and was reported to be cooperating with investigators.
Drivers and pedestrians were advised to avoid the area while police were conducting their investigation.
