Alleged drunk driver arrested after crash on I-25 in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Two people were injured in a collision involving an alleged drunk driver in Albuquerque Saturday night, KRQE reported.

The driver, identified as Nathaniel Lucero, was arrested following the incident.  It happened at about 9:30 p.m. after two Public Service Aides responded to the scene of a previous accident on Interstate 25 southbound.

Albuquerque police said Lucero was driving drunk behind the wheel of a Chevy Trailblazer when he struck the aides' vehicle, causing it to crash into another police vehicle.  The two PSAs were treated and released at an area hospital.

Lucero was facing multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated and causing great bodily harm by vehicle.
