ARTESIA, NM - A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash in Eddy County earlier this year, according to NewsWest 9.
George Robert Cosper of Artesia, New Mexico is facing charges for the May 5 accident that occurred on US 82 near Sandweed Road.
Investigatrs determined that Cosper was driving recklessly in a Dodge pickup truck when he collided with a Ford pickup truck at milepost 97. A woman riding as a passenger in the Ford was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead. Her husband, the Ford driver, was severely injured.
Cosper was arrested recently and charged with homicide by motor vehicle and great bodily harm by motor vehicle.
