ANDERSON, IN - A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle in Anderson on Monday evening, according to a report by WXIN.
The accident happened in the vicinity of Main Street and Haverhille Drive. Investigators determined that an Anderson woman was driving a Nissan shortly before 6 p.m. when her car collided with a bicycle.
The bicyclist, a male, was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital. His name was being withheld until his family could be notified. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
The Anderson Police Department Crash Team is continuing to investigate the cause of the incident.
