INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police said a child was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver in Indianapolis on Wednesday night.
A report by WRTV states that the incident took place in the 3100 block of English Avenue on the city's southeast side. According to police, a 9-year-old boy was crossing the street near Southeastern Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle.
The boy was transported to Riley Hospital for Children and was reported to be in stable condition. The driver involved fled the scene of the crash.
Indianapolis police are continuing to investigate, and asked anyone with further information to contact Crime Stoppers.
