GRANT COUNTY, IN - The Grant County Sheriff's Office responded to a fatal crash near the West 4000 block of Country Road 300 South Monday, reports WXIN.
Sheriff's deputies arrived to find that a car with three occupants had crashed at that location. The driver, identified as 41-year-old Maria Evans of Sims, Indiana, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two children who were in the car sustained injuries that were not regarded as life-threatening. Both were transported to Marion Health and then to a hospital in the Indianapolis area.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway by the sheriff's office Fatality Accident Team.
