ANDERSON, IN - Police were called to the scene of a fatal collision at an intersection in Anderson on Saturday, according to a report by WISH.
Officers responded to the area of East 5th Street and South Scatterfield Road at about 5:17 p.m. and found that a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado had collided with a 2008 Pontiac Vibe at that location. The driver and passenger in the Vibe, both females, were pronounced dead after being rushed to Community Hospital. Their identities were not immediately released.
The driver of the Silverado, a 17-year-old from Anderson, was seriously injured and transported to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
No details were released on what led to the wreck, which remains under investigation by Anderson police.
