Collision in Johnson County leaves 1 dead, 2 seriously injured

GREENWOOD, IN - Two vehicles were involved in a fatal head-on collision in Johnson County on Thursday night, WXIN reports.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, the driver of a Honda Accord was headed north on Five Points Road in Greenwood shortly after 7 p.m. when he lost control of the car. The Accord then swerved into the opposite lane and crashed into a Cadillac Escalade.

The driver of the Accord, 42-year-old Sukhwinder Singh, was taken to Eskenazi Hospital and pronounced dead. The Cadillac driver, a 52-year-old man from Indianapolis, and his passenger, a 52-year-old woman, were rushed to IU Health Methodist Hospital with serious injuries.

The sheriff's office is investigating the cause of the crash.
