INDIANAPOLIS, IN - One person was killed and two others were injured in a wreck on the northwest side of Indianapolis, reports WXIN.
The collision, involving a sedan and a pickup truck, happened Friday night in the 5800 block of North Michigan Road. An investigation indicated that one of the drivers was attempting to make a turn, and that vehicle was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded shortly before 11:30 p.m. and found that the driver of the sedan was dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger in the pickup truck were seriously injured and transported to an area hospital. The IMPD is continuing to investigate the cause of the accident. The pickup driver had a blood draw taken, which is the department's standard procedure in serious crashes.
