SOCORRO, NM - The New Mexico Department of Transportation advised drivers to expect backups on Interstate 25 during Tuesday morning's rush hour due to a vehicle crash.
An advisory on NMRoads at 6:55 a.m. said that the accident happened on I-25 south about 30 miles south of Socorro. The southbound passing left lane on the interstate was closed at milepost 117.
Motorists were asked to slow down, obey the posted signs, and watch for emergency personnel and equipment. The DOT said delays were expected through the area.
