Crash on NW side of Indianapolis leaves man critically injured

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A vehicle accident in northwest Indianapolis late Tuesday night left a driver critically injured, according to WXIN.

The crash involved a Can-Am, a three-wheeled vehicle, Indianapolis police said. The driver was going north in the area of Lafayette Road and West 19th Street when he lost control and crashed just after 11 p.m.

The man was listed in critical condition after being transported to Eskenazi Hospital. He was believed to have been traveling at a high rate of speed when the incident occurred, investigators said.

Another driver who saw the crash stayed at the scene to talk with police as the investigation continues.
