Crash shuts down lanes on I-40 eastbound at Rio Grande Boulevard

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - The New Mexico Department of Transportation advised drivers of a crash affecting traffic in Albuquerque on Tuesday afternoon.

In an advisory on NMRoads at 1:08 p.m., officials said the accident occurred on Interstate 40 eastbound at mile marker 157 at Rio Grande Boulevard.  The three center lanes on I-40 east were shut down while emergency crews were working at the scene.

Motorists were advised to slow down, expect traffic delays and seek alternate routes.
