INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indianapolis police officers were called to the scene of a deadly collision involving a suspected drunk driver Sunday evening, WRTV reported.
The accident happened along the Sam Jones Expressway near Interstate 465 on the city's southwest side, where police responded just after 7 p.m.
Investigators said a sedan and a shuttle van were both headed westbound when the sedan crashed into the back of the van. The man driving the sedan and a dog riding in the vehicle were both killed. Multiple people in the van reported complants of pain.
Investigators believe the sedan driver was intoxicated at the time the incident took place. The expessway's southbound lanes were closed for the crash investigation.
