Driver killed in rear-end collision on Interstate 25 in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM -  A driver was killed in a crash along Interstate 25 in Albuqerque last week, the New Mexico State Police said.

In a news release, the NMSP said the accident happened June 29 on I-25 south at the exit for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.  An investigation indicated that the driver of a 2006 Toyota passenger vehicle was headed south at about 6:30 p.m. and rear-ended a 1993 commercial motor vehicle that was parked on the shoulder at mile marker 224.

The driver of the Toyota, 22-year-old Atticus Pearl of Albuquerque, was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital.  The driver of the CMV was not injured in the collision.

State Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the wreck.  Should any additional information come to light, our Albuquerque car accident lawyer will update this news blog.
