Driver killed in single-vehicle accident in Franklin

FRANKLIN, IN - The Johnson County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene of a fatal crash that occurred south of Franklin early Tuesday morning, WISH reported.

The single-vehicle accident happened on South Mauxferry Road near U.S. 31 at about 5:25 a.m. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No details were immediately released on the victim's identity, or what led to the wreck.

The sheriff's office said Mauxferry Road was closed between County Road 200 South and County Road 250 South for the crash investigation.
