GRANT COUNTY, IN - A car accident in Grant County early Saturday morning left a driver dead and a passenger injured, authorities said.

A report by WTHR states that the wreck happened along CR 600 East in Marion, where deputies from the Grant County Sheriff's Department arrived at the scene at about 5:30 a.m.

An investigation determined that a driver went off the roadway and collided with a utility pole, causing the driver to be ejected.  He was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. The victim was identified as 34-year-old Glenn Allan Bradley of Upland.  A passenger in the vehicle, age 32, was treated and released from the hospital

Authorities believe inclement weather was a contributing factor in the wreck, and urged motorists to leave extra time to get to their destinations
