Driver killed when vehicle crashes into trees in Tippecanoe County

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, IN - The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office released details of a deadly vehicle crash that took place early Friday morning.

According to WXIN, the incident happened in the 1400 block E of County Road 725 N. Investigators learned that the driver of a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle ran off the road shortly before 1:42 a.m. The car crashed into several trees and the driver was ejected.

Deputies arrived to find the victim dead at the scene. No one else was in the car.

Toxicology results are pending on the driver, whose name was not released.
