INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police said a driver left the scene of an accident in Indianapolis at around midnight Wednesday, reports WTHR.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a vehicle crashed into a trailer that was parked on the side of Dr. Martin Luther King Street near 23rd Street.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the driver of the vehicle got out and fled while the passenger was still trapped inside. The passenger was pulled from the vehicle and transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the collision.
