CARMEL, IN - At least one person was killed in a rollover accident in Carmel on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
A WXIN report stated that the crash occurred on the ramp from U.S. 31 southbound to Interstate 465 westbound. The victim was identified by the Hamilton County Coroner's Office as 34-year-old Calindo Clemente of Indianapolis.
No details have been released on what led to the accident.
Carmel police and firefighters responded to the scene, and said that the northbound and southbound ramps from U.S. 31 to I-465 would be shut down for several hours for the crash investigation.
Extensive traffic delays were reported before the ramps reopened by 6 p.m.
