INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police are trying to track down the driver who struck a pedestrian in Indianapolis on Friday morning, reports WTHR.
The victim, a female, was hit by a vehicle in the area of English Avenue and South Emerson Avenue on the city's east side at about 3:15 a.m. She was transported to an area hospital but there was no immediate word on her condition.
The driver involved fled the scene of the crash.
Police closed down the northbound lanes of South Emerson Avenue while they investigated the incident.
