Indiana University student hit by vehicle while riding scooter

BLOOMINGTON, IN - An accident on the campus of Indiana University Thursday morning left a student hospitalized, reports WTHR.  

The incident occurred in the area of 10th Street and North Woodlawn Avenue at about 11:15 a.m.  University officials said a student was going west on 10th Street while riding a scooter and was struck by a vehicle. The student was seriously injured and transported to a hospital in Bloomington.

The Indiana University Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash.
