Man charged in Albuquerque crash that left 2 seriously injured

ALBUQUERQUE, NM -  A man is facing charges in connection with a crash in Albuquerque that occurred last week, reports KRQE.

The incident took place in the area of Central Avenue and Alvarado Drive on Wednesday.  Court documents said the suspect, Joshua Martinez of Albuquerque, was driving a Pontiac when he swerved and struck a man and a woman.  Both were seriously injured in the accident.

Martinez allegedly fled the scene after the crash but was apprehended a short distance away.  According to police, Martinez had replaced the front tire that was damaged with a spare.  It was reported that his license had been revoked.

The report also said Martinez had previous arrests for driving while intoxicated.  He is due in court for a hearing on Wednesday.  Our Albuquerque car accident lawyer will update this news blog with any additional information as it comes to light.
