SANTA FE, NM - Police were called to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred in Santa Fe early Saturday morning, KRQE reports.
Officers responded to the area of Airport Road and Zepol Road on a report of a man possibly struck by a vehicle. They found a man dead at the scene near the Chamisa Center. His identity was not immediately known.
The accident may have been the result of a pedestrian error, police said, but the case remains under investigation by the Santa Fe Police Department's Fatal Crash Team.
