ALAMAGORDO, NM - Police in Alamagordo are investigating a deadly hit-and-run incident that occurred early Saturday morning, KTSM reports.
It happened on the 600 block of First Street, where police were called to the scene at about 2:30 a.m. An officer found a 56-year-old man dead in the roadway after he had been struck by a vehicle. The victim's identity was not yet released.
The driver involved left the scene of the crash and is now being sought.
The investigation is being conducted by the Alamagordo Police Department's Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with further information on the incident was asked to contact Alamagordo detectives. Should any additional information come to light, our Albuquerque car accident lawyer will update this news blog.
