LAWRENCE, IN - A car crash in Lawrence early Sunday morning left two people dead and knocked out power in the area, WXIN reported.
The single-vehicle accident occurred in the 7200 block of East 56th Street, where police responded to the scene at about 3:11 a.m.
The Lawrence Police Department said that a driver lost control of the car, drove off the road and crashed into a utility pole. A man and a woman in the vehicle were both killed.
The wreck left nearly 400 homes and business in the neighborhood without power for several hours.
