Motorcyclist, 61, dies following crash on I-69 in Fishers

FISHERS, IN - The Fishers Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident late Friday night.

The police department posted that the crash happened on Interstate 69 northbound near 96th Street. A report by WISH said that the victim had been identified by the Hamilton County Coroner's Office as 61-year-old Ronald Lee Baxter of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Police said the man had been riding north when he crashed and was ejected from the bike. Baxter was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northbound I-69 was shut down from 96th Street to 106th Street for several hours during the crash response, and drivers were advised to expect delays.
