ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A motorcyclist died following a collision with a car in Albuquerque on Wednesday evening, reports KRQE.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Tramway Boulevard and Menaul Boulevard at about 7 p.m. An investigation by Albuquerque police determined that the driver of a Toyota Prius was northbound on Tramway Boulevard and tried making a U-turn to head south.
At that point, the operator of a motorcycle was going south on Tramway Boulevard and struck the Prius. The motorcyclist died at the scene. The victim's name was not immediately released.
Three people in the Prius sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, and were taken to an area hospital. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
