Motorcyclist dies after colliding with vehicle in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, IN - The Monroe County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene of a fatal collision south of Bloomington on Sunday, WTHR reports.

According to the sheriff's office, a motorcyclist was going east on East Dillman Road shortly before 5:45 p.m. and disregarded a stop sign at the intersection with South Old State Road 37.

The motorcycle collided with a vehicle at that location, and the motorcyclist was killed. The victim's identity was not immediately released. There was no word on whether the other driver was injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
