CLOVIS, NM - Police in Clovis said a crash earlier this month left a motorcycle rider dead, reports the Eastern New Mexico News.
The incident took place Nov. 4 in the vicinity of Wheaton Street and Madison Road, where a motorcycle collided with an SUV at about 6:17 p.m.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike onto the grass on the side of Wheaton Street and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was identified as 42-year-old Shonta "Chevy" Hall.
The SUV driver stayed at the scene and was reported to be cooperating with the investigation, which was being conducted by the police department's Major Crash Team.
