Multi-vehicle accident blocks lanes on Interstate 465 westbound

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Authorities were called to the scene of a serious crash on the south side of Indianapolis on Wednesday morning.

According to an advisory from WIBC Traffic at 8:47 a.m., multiple vehicles were involved in the accident on westbound Interstate 465 before Harding Street/State Road 37. One of the vehicles reportedly overturned. There were no immediate details regarding injuries.

The two left lanes of the interstate were blocked while the wreck was being cleared, snarling traffic back to U.S. 31. Delays of at least 45 minutes were reported.
