Multi-vehicle accident on East 56th Street in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Emergency crews were called to the scene of a serious crash on the east side of Indianapolis on Friday afternoon.

According to a post from WIBC Traffic at 4:27 p.m., four vehicles were involved in the accident on E. 56th Street at Arlington Avenue. One of the vehicles collided with a pole.

It was reported to be an injury crash with multiple ambulances dispatched, though there was no immediate word on who had been injured. Drivers were advised to avoid the area while the scene was being cleared.
