Multi-vehicle crash on I-465 slows traffic on south side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A multi-vehicle accident snarled traffic on the south side of Indianapolis on Tuesday afternoon.

A report by WIBC Traffic at 4:21 p.m. said that the incident took place on eastbound Interstate 465 before Interstate 65. The two right lanes were blocked on I-465 while police and emergency crews worked the scene.

The crash caused backups past U.S. 31, and from the I-65 interchange back to Kentucky Avenue. All lanes reopened nearly two hours later but there were still residual delays.
