TULAROSA, NM - New Mexico State Police said two people were killed in a crash on Saturday.
The NMSP tweeted that it happened on US 54 at milepost 98 between Tularosa and Carrizozo. The incident was described as a double fatal head-on collision, and was reported at 10:37 p.m.
US 54 was shut down in both directions, and drivers were advised to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
