ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A car and a pickup truck were involved in a deadly collision in northwest Albuquerque early Friday morning, police said.
A report by KOB stated that the accident happened in the vicinity of Paradise Boulevard and Unser Boulevard at about 3:13 a.m. Police said the driver of a Chevrolet pickup was headed north on Unser Boulevard and attempted to go into the southbound lane to avoid an oncoming BMW going south. The BMW driver also changed lanes and the pickup driver could not avoid the car, as the vehicles collided head-on.
The driver of the BMW, whose name was not released, was killed in the wreck. The driver of the pickup was transported to UNM Hospital.
Investigators believe the BMW driver's speed and improper driving were contributing factors in the crash, our Albuquerque car accident attorney adds, but there were no signs that alcohol was involved.
