SILVER CITY, NM - A man was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Grant County on Sunday afternoon, New Mexico State Police said.
The NMSP issued a news release on the wreck that happened on White Water Road off State Road 90 south of Silver City at about 1:20 p.m.
An initial investigation indicated 37-year-old Tyler Trusty was driving a 2004 eastbound on White Water Road when he drove off the roadway. The vehicle hit a dirt embankment and rolled over. Trusty, a Caballo resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
State troopers are conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident. It was believed that alcohol was a contributing factor, and seat belts were not properly utilized.
