News: Woman killed in crash while driving off-road vehicle in Tularosa

TULAROSA, NM - New Mexico State Police said a woman was killed in a crash involving an off-road vehicle in Otero County on Sunday night.

In a news release, NMSP said the accident happened on Sabinat Lane in Tularosa at about 10:50 p.m.  Investigators said 33-year-old Aubrey Pinson of Tularosa was driving a 2021 Polaris side by side vehicle northeast when she drove off the roadway and hit a road sign and a telephone pole.

Pinson was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.  Authorities said seat belts did not appear to have been used properly.

State police are continuing to investigate the wreck, our Albuquerque car accident attorney adds, and said alcohol appears to have been a contributing factor.
