Overturned semi-truck causes delays on Interstate 65 north

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a truck crash that was slowing traffic in Indianapolis during Monday morning's rush hour.

According to an alert from WIBC Traffic shortly after 9 a.m., a semi-truck overturned in an embankment off northbound Interstate 65 between 38th Street/Guion Road and Lafayette Road.  The driver was attempting to get out of the vehicle, but there was no immediate word regarding injuries.

Two right lanes of the interstate were blocked, and traffic was stopped to the 38th Street exit.  Crews were cleaning up a fuel spill that resulted from the accident, while the barrier wall was also damaged and in need of repair.
