Passenger killed when car collides with semi on State Road 28

HOBBS, IN - A collision in Tipton County on Friday morning left one person dead and another hospitalized, WXIN reports.

The accident happened on State Road 28 near County Road 250 East in Hobbs at about 8:30 a.m.  The driver of a 2010 Ford F-150 was heading east when the vehicle slid sideways into the westbound lane, investigators said.

A 2006 Peterbilt semi-truck going west on State Road 28 hit the pickup truck on the passenger side.  A passenger in the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene.  He was identified as 33-year-old Vince D. Reynolds of Elwood. The driver of the Ford sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to an area hospital.

The Indiana State Police and the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
