INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A pedestrian was taken to the hospital following a collision in east Indianapolis early Wednesday morning.
A post on X by WISH TV at 7:35 a.m. said that the incident occurred on South Arlington Avenue near Terrace Avenue. The pedestrian was reported to be in critical condition.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Motorists were advised to avoid the area until the scene could be cleared. Both directions of Arlington Avenue were closed south of Brookville Road.

IMPD says the pedestrian is in critical condition and the driver remained at the scene. Drivers should avoid the area for now.
