INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident on the east side of Indianapolis on Thursday morning.
A report by WISH states that a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area of North Shadeland Avenue and East 38th Street shortly after 8 a.m. The victim, whose identity was not disclosed, died of his injuries after being transported to an area hospital.
The driver involved in the incident stayed at the scene. Traffic was expected to be affected for several hours as the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department conducted their investigation.
