INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A pickup truck and an ambulance were involved in a deadly collision in Indianapolis early Sunday morning, according to the Indianapolis Star.
The accident happened in the vicinity of 5515 Michigan Road on the city's north side shortly after 2 a.m. Police said the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado lost control of the vehicle and entered the path of a southbound ambulance. The Chevrolet was struck near the passenger door, and one passenger in the pickup was ejected. That person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers and two passengers in the ambulance were taken to an area hospital, but no details were immediately released on their conditions.
A Nissan was hit in the crash, and police said the occupants of the vehicle ran away from the scene.
