RIO RANCHO, NM - A man who was killed in a pedestrian accident in Rio Rancho last month has been identified by police, according to the Rio Rancho Observer.
The victim of the Oct. 24 crash was reported to be Michael Warnken of Rio Rancho. Investigators said he was walking his dog in the crosswalk on Terraza Boulevard in the Loma Colorado neighborhood at about 6 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle. Warnken was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Rio Rancho Police Department Traffic Unit is continuing its investigation into the cause of the accident.
