HENDRICKS COUNTY, IN - An accident involving a semi-truck caused major traffic delays on Interstate 70 in Hendricks County on Wednesday afternoon.
According to an alert from WIBC Traffic shortly after 4 p.m., a semi rolled over on eastbound I-70 heading towards Indianapolis. The right lane of the interstate was blocked in the area of State Road 39.
At one point, the traffic backups stretched about seven miles as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Drivers were advised to take U.S. 40 as an alternate route. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Cleanup continues on a rolled semi in Hendricks Co. on eastbound I-70 (towards Indy). The right lane is blocked about three miles after S.R. 39, but the delay is much longer than that.
