INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A teenage driver was injured in a car wreck on East Washington Street in Indianapolis on Tuesday morning, police said.
According to a WTHR report, police and firefighters responded to the scene near South Arlington Avenue at about 9:30 a.m.
An investigation determined that an 18-year-old crashed his vehicle into a pole. He was extricated from the car by rescue crews, and taken to Eskenazi Hospital in serious but stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Witnesses said speed and wet roads may have contributed to the incident.
