Traffic backed up on I-74 near Brownsburg after multi-vehicle crash

BROWNSBURG, IN - Drivers in Hendricks County encountered rush-hour delays Tuesday morning due to a multi-vehicle crash, reports WISH.

The accident happened on eastbound Interstate 74 near Brownsburg sometime before 8 a.m. All eastbound lanes of I-74 were closed between State Road 267/Green Street and Ronald Reagan Parkway at mile marker 66 while emergency crews responded to the scene.  There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Backups on State Road 267 reportedly stretched for about a mile and a half.  The Indiana Department of Transportation said lanes were expected to be closed until 10 a.m.
